Laura Hartt
Laura Hartt is the Water Policy Director at Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. She manages UCR programs focused on local, state, and regional water quantity issues, including water supply, water conservation, instream flow protection, and water planning. She is also the coordinator for the Tristate Conservation Coalition and a member of the Georgia Water Coalition’s leadership team.
Laura has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from California State Polytechnic University Pomona as well as a Master of Science Degree in Wildlife Ecology from Utah State University. She also holds a Juris Doctor Degree with emphasis in Environmental Law from Lewis and Clark Law School. Prior to her graduate studies, she taught high school science as a Peace Corps volunteer in rural Kenya.
Laura is very excited to work with a team of dedicated folks working to protect the Chattahoochee and looks forward to spending more time on the river with her husband and seven-year old son.
