Paddle and Camp: Wildwood Outfitters to Belton Bridge
PLUS Cleanup Service Project
Come paddle a seldom traveled part of the river above Lake Lanier in a beautiful time of the year. Flowers and trees will be in bloom. The river section between Duncan Bridge and Mossy Creek (5 miles) is fast with a few class I-ll rapids to make it interesting. We will be camping at Wildwood Outfitters both Friday and Saturday night. The paddle on Sunday is a smooth, flat 4-mile ride to Belton Bridge which is a Corps of Engineers Park. This trip is also a paddle cleanup as there are several areas on the river where trash tends to accumulate. Recommended for experienced beginners who know basic strokes and bracing skills. Registration opens February 19.
