River Revival Tickets Are Going Fast - Buy Yours Today!
Please join Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper (UCR) members, sponsors and guests for the 12th Annual River Revival, "Rescue Your River - Save the Hooch!”, on May 15, 6:30 -10:00 pm, at Park Tavern at Piedmont Park. The party will feature an acoustic set from Ed Roland, Will Turpin and Joel Kosche of Collective Soul. Christopher Alan Yates and Gareth Asher will perform opening sets.
The ticket price ($40 by May 12, $55 at the door) includes entertainment, live and silent auctions, Park Tavern and SweetWater brews, wine, sodas, a low country boil from Whole Foods Market and other great food, plus a one-year membership in UCR. River Revival will also kick off the Save the Hooch campaign sponsored by SweetWater Brewery. Through this campaign a portion of proceeds from the sale of SweetWater beers between Memorial Day weekend and July 4th, as well as sales of paper fish at participating bars and restaurants, will go to support UCR’s mission.

Job Announcement: UCR Seeks General Counsel

UCR’s current general counsel, Betsy Nicholas, has taken a job at the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, DC, and will be moving at the end of May. We thank Betsy for her excellent work and many years of service to UCR and wish her well!
Back to the Chattahoochee River Race and Festival – June 14
Whether you’re a paddler or a festival-goer, you can join your friends and neighbors at UCR’s annual festive celebration of river appreciation! The race starts at 9 am on Saturday, June 14, at Garrard Landing Park at Holcomb Bridge Road and finishes at Roswell’s Riverside Park—the venue for the festival, music and awards. The festival goes from 10 - 2 pm.
Competitive and recreational paddlers are welcome. The entry fee for solo boats is $35 and for tandem boats is $50. We strongly suggest registering in advance to ensure admission. The Festival at Riverside Park offers food, live music, and exhibits from a vast array of environmental organizations working to protect and preserve Georgia’s natural places.
