Voice Your Support for Water Efficiency Legislation
As north Georgia’s water crisis continues, two new bills introduced in the Georgia House of Representatives offer common sense strategies for encouraging water conservation.
- House Bill 158, sponsored by Reps. Judy Manning and John Meadows, would require new multi-family residential buildings to install meters on each unit to more accurately measure and charge for water consumption.
-
House Bill 262, sponsored by Reps. Calvin Hill and Tom McCall, would allow homeowners governed by covenants to install drought-tolerant landscaping.
Please contact your state representatives and let them know that you think water conservation is a priority and you want them to support these measures! You can find your Georgia state legislators and their contact information here.
