Birgit Bolton

Since January 2000, Birgit Bolton has proudly served as the Programs Coordinator for the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. Over the years she has become an integral part of the fight for cleaner water. Her responsibilities range from several ongoing community outreach and education projects, newsletter production, hotline calls, site visits, river patrols and water monitoring, website maintenance and coordinator of interns and volunteers.

Prior to joining UCR, Birgit received her undergraduate degree from Cortland State University of N.Y. with a major in English and a minor in economics. Additionally, she has also volunteered her time with several environmental organizations such as the wildlife department at the Chattahoochee Nature Center, Fernbank, the Caretta Research Project and The Dolphin Project and CDC.
